The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), founded in 1973 and based in Washington, D.C., is the leading trade association representing dietary supplement and functional food manufacturers and ingredient suppliers. CRN members adhere to a strong code of ethics, comply with voluntary recommendations and manufacture dietary supplements to high quality standards under good manufacturing practices.
The International Probiotics Association (IPA) is an international organization with members equally divided between industry and academia and its goal is to provide a unique forum for the exchange of research and the latest breakthroughs in probiotic technology and new product development.
ISAPP is an association of academic and industrial scientists involved in research on fundamental and applied aspects of probiotics and prebiotics, and more broadly that of human microbiomes and gut health. ISAPP is the only scientific organization dedicated specifically to probiotics and prebiotics, bringing together scientists from all pertinent disciplines, including food science, microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, nutrition and medicine.
