COVID-19 Update: Deerland Classified as an Essential Business
Deerland is a USA-based business with manufacturing facilities in Kennesaw, Georgia and Forsyth, Missouri. The governors of Georgia and Missouri have yet to announce official stay-at-home orders for their entire states. However, many local city and county leaders are taking actions to implement stay-at-home orders, which include the shut-down or limited hours of all nonessential businesses. Under these types of orders, Deerland is considered an essential business and will remain open in all locations.
As we continue to operate our business, the team at Deerland continues to focus on safety as we do our part to flatten the curve. Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our employees while continuing to serve our customers.
Actions administered:
- All employees that can perform their role from home are encouraged to do so
- Efforts have been made to ensure social distancing in the facilities
- Break room seating is limited to single seat tables and spaced providing six feet of separation
- All meetings are held by phone or online conferencing, no face-to-face meetings
- We have restricted any onsite visits to contractors deemed essential for operation
- Beyond our standard sanitation procedures in GMP areas, we have heightened sanitation efforts in common areas
We are continuing the measures put it place earlier this month to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 transmission in our workplace and to ensure the continued safe manufacture of products. Our stringent standard operating procedures and personal protective equipment give us a firm foundation. We also continue taking steps with our suppliers to ensure there’s little to no supply chain disruption.
